Football and credit cards go head to head in a new game developed by Visa and the National Football League. The idea of the video game is to help improve financial literacy among all ages through fun entertainment. When playing "Financial Football" fans will be able to direct their favorite NFL team in the game, set to the familiar tune of NFL audio.
There are many well-known football players involved in the promotion of the game. One of those is Detroit Lions player Ndamukong Suh. "Kids need to know how to make smart money management decisions early in life," said Suh in a news release. "It takes the combined efforts of parents, teachers and mentors within the community to give teenagers a strong background in personal finance."
If football isn't your game of choice, then try out a match of "Financial Soccer," or one of six other games with similar themes. "These games are free, they're fun and engaging and they help teach appropriate financial fundamentals for various age groups," said Etta Money, president of InCharge Debt Solutions in a news release. "In addition to these entertaining and interactive educational games, we also offer serious articles, calculators, tools and other resources through our website to assist consumers in all aspects of financial planning."
