Customers that enjoy travelling can reportedly enjoy some extra perks from the American Express United Airlines credit card, as it has recently been announced that the card is offering double frequent flyer miles.
Shoppers will be able to double the amount of air miles that they earn on the card, with two miles available for every pound spent on the card for the first six months of opening the credit card account. However, to qualify borrowers will have to apply for the card before the end of April.
Borrowers will also find that there are other ways in which they can boost their points using this credit card, and this includes purchasing various travel services and goods from the United Airlines website, such as car hire and accommodation amongst other things. Points can also be earned when customers are flying with members of the Star Alliance, and this includes companies such as US Airways and Singapore Airlines.
Mileage points that are earned on the cards can be redeemed against both air travel and upgrades on participating airlines, and these are available on over eight hundred destinations around the world. It would take around fifty five thousand miles for a return trip to the United States and around twenty five thousand miles for a return trip to a destination within Western Europe, according to the reports.
The credit card also offers a range of other benefits for consumers to enjoy, and this include twelve months' worth of interest free credit on balance transfers, and three months' worth of interest free credit on purchases made on the card. The credit card is issues by MBNA.
